In these tough economic times, thousands or probably millions of people out there are trying to find ways to make money online. With the unemployment rate at a record high, it's very tough to instantly secure a day job. Disadvantages of Online Business:

1. Mass competition - A lot of people are trying to start up their own online business.


2. Scamming is rampant- Some online marketers are trying to scam other marketers, especially the newbies.


3. Business model is vulnerable to copycats.
   

As you can see there are more advantages than disadvantages in starting an online business . Like what was noted above, Internet marketing requires very little to get started then regular off-line business. If the business doesn't turn out to be what you have expected, you will not lose much money because your investment is close to nothing. You can actually set up an online business for as little as $20.00 or even less.
